Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Diagnosis and Treatment Services
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in our hospital is equipped with advanced technology devices and provides healthcare services to all newborns in need of intensive care. Additionally, it offers Level 3 intensive care services for the most critical cases, supported by medical teams and state-of-the-art equipment. The first evaluation of newborns is performed by specialist doctors at the resuscitation table immediately after receiving the baby from the delivery room.
During this examination, parameters such as heart rate, spontaneous breathing from the lungs, nasal flaring, grunting or retractions, cyanosis, the completeness of visible organs, the number of fingers, genital structure, cleft lip, choanal atresia, anal atresia, spina bifida, and other anomalies are assessed.
In some cases, immediate interventions such as intubation and cardiac massage may be required in the first minutes. Blood gas analysis, chest X-rays, CRP, cultures for infection assessment, and various organ function tests are performed on babies admitted to neonatal intensive care, and their progress is monitored at regular intervals by our specialist physicians. When necessary, support from other medical departments is available 24/7.
Our primary goal is to ensure the health and safety of both mother and baby. Our hospital has earned the title of a "Baby-Friendly Hospital." This program aims to promote breastfeeding, educate mothers about proper breastfeeding techniques, develop healthy breastfeeding habits, and ensure the success and sustainability of breastfeeding. In our Baby-Friendly Hospital, trained healthcare professionals provide specialized education on breastfeeding and maternal nutrition.
